Every donation, registration, and attendance helps strengthen our mission of giving back to those who have dedicated their lives to serving our communities.

BBQ teams from across the region will compete for increased prize money and community bragging rights while showcasing their favorite recipes. Whether you’re a backyard pitmaster or a seasoned competition team, this event provides an exciting atmosphere to demonstrate your talent.
The cook entry fee is $100 per category.
To allow competitors plenty of preparation time, BBQ teams may arrive 24 hours before the event to begin setting up and preparing their signature recipes.
All competition rules, cooking guidelines, and judging requirements will be provided during registration.

The People’s Choice Award gives visitors the opportunity to vote for their favorite BBQ team after sampling the delicious entries throughout the afternoon.
One of the biggest attractions of the Ultimate 7th Annual BBQ Cookoff at the Beach Free BBQ Tasting & Family Fun is the opportunity to enjoy free BBQ taste testing from every participating competition team.
Guests will sample a wide variety of barbecue styles, signature sauces, smoked meats, and specialty side dishes before casting their vote for the People’s Choice Award. Every team brings unique flavors and techniques, making each tasting experience completely different.
For Entrance into The Event, visitors will provide a donation at the front gate that directly supports Fredericksburg Fallen Heroes’ programs for local Veterans and First Responders.
Showcase your business, products, services, or organization during the Ultimate 7th Annual BBQ Cookoff at the Beach Free BBQ Tasting & Family Fun. This highly attended community event provides vendors with an excellent opportunity to connect with families, local residents, visitors, BBQ competitors, and supporters of Fredericksburg Fallen Heroes.
We welcome local businesses, crafters, artisans, nonprofit organizations, service providers, and approved food vendors. Guests will have time throughout the afternoon to browse vendor booths, shop for unique products, learn about local services, and support participating businesses.
All vendor requirements and rules will be displayed when completing registration. A copy of the rules will be sent to you with your confirmation of registration.
