DESCRIPTION:Welcome back\, runners\, for the annual Fallen Heroes 5 Miler on the 4th of July.\n\n\nLink to sign up: https://runsignup.com/fallenheroes5miler_signup\nCome out and join us at James Monroe High School and run through the beautiful streets of downtown Fredericksburg.\nThe race is sponsored by the Fredericksburg Fallen Heroes\, a local non-profit organization that provides support to the veterans and first responders in need of assistance in the local community.\n\nRUN FOR A HERO!! Each runner will running in honor or memory of a veteran with a separate bib attached to their shirt reflecting the veteran name\, rank and branch of service.\nLets’ celebrate our 250th Anniversary and Run for a Hero!\n\nThis is the 7th race in the Coldwell Banker Elite Grand Prix series in conjunction with the Fredericksburg Area Running Club.The race will begin and end at the James Monroe High School parking lot.\n\nPacket pickup: Friday\, July 3\, 2026 Time: 1-6 p.m.Location: Lucky Road Run Shop 1865 Carl D. Silver Pkwy 22401Packets will also be available the day of the race between 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. at the parking lot of James Monroe High School.\nPlease arrive early to retrieve your packet to be ready to start promptly. The race will begin at 7:30 a.m.Entry Fees:February 17th –April 8th: $35.00April 9th-June 8th: $40.00June 9th- July 2nd: $45.00July 3rd- July 4th: $50.00In order to receive your free shirt\, you must register by June 8th.Extra shirts will be available for purchase with a limited supply on the day of the race and at packet pickup. DESCRIPTION:Each year\, the Wreaths Across America program happens all across the United States\, approximately 5600 locations.\nThe Oak Hill cemetery located at 1902 Plank Road\, Fredericksburg\, Va.\, is honored once again to show honor and respect for our fallen veterans that are laid to rest with us here locally in Fredericksburg.\nThis event honors our fallen veterans by laying a wreath in remembrance of their sacrifice for our country. Remembering their name\, their honor\, and their dedication to protect and serve our great nation.\nPlease come out and join us on December 19\, 2026 for our annual event. The event starts at 12:00 sharp. Please arrive early. Coffee\, donuts and hot chocolate will be provided.\nWe ask that you adhere to the parking attendants upon entering the location.\nThis event is open to the public and is free.
